To say that men are shallow may not be too far off the mark, but at least we are honest early on. You see, if we are not attracted to you, the relationship has no shot. Now we realize that women have different standards that we do about dating. Sit back and be prepared for a little insight as we see it and put this dating advice for women by men to good use.
Be honest. This is probably one of the major causes for guys kicking girls to the curb. Hey, we all deceive a little in the beginning, but don’t say you like things early on that you cannot stand. Realize that everything that you do with us and that you say you like during the early days is permission to do for the entirety of the relationship.
Please don’t order salad. We like to see you eat and we can’t stand when you order salad. It actually makes us feel like going out to dinner was a complete waste of time, so don’t do it. Eat what you would order if you were at home and trust me, we are not going to think that you are the size of an elephant. No man likes to eat alone, so when you go out to dinner PLEASE EAT!
Be sexy. This is very important early on in the relationship. Men love looking at women and we love looking at them when they look their best. It may seem like a shallow thing to say, but when you show up in a sweatshirt on your second date it is a little bit of a turnoff. We are not idiots and we know you are not going to be your best all the time. In fact, as the relationship goes forward, you will find that if he really loves you, he will love you more at your worst because he knows what he had. In the beginning though, we want our worlds rocked so turn up the heat!
Please do not act like one of the boys. This is not attractive! In fact, it is quite annoying. It is not important for us to have you hang out with the guys when we do, we would actually prefer that you don’t. When you want to be around our friends all the time, it usually means you don’t trust us and you are going to be history. You are a girl, so act like it!
